Business Health Services provides all aspects of worker’s compensation, hurt-on-duty and occupational health services used by the City of Fort Wayne. Some of the services include on-site drug testing, CDL  NIDA random drug and alcohol screens, post-offer examinations, confined-space and respirator physicals, lift tests, functional screens, Mantoux testing and injured-employee care. 

BHS case managers facilitate getting hospital ED records to me as soon as possible, make appointments with outside physicians, make referrals for specialized testing in a timely manner, and inform me if an injured worker is noncompliant with appointments. BHS oversees the city’s drug and alcohol random draws and MRO services, and they efficiently staff for on-site testing to keep the process quick and efficient. 

As Risk Manager, I am pleased with the services rendered and the wonderful level of communication we receive in a timely manner regarding our employees. The excellent physicians and physician assistants keep me informed of our patients’ conditions and any physical restrictions they might have.

I believe that our more than 1,800 employees matter to BHS, and the care they receive reinforces this feeling on a daily basis.
