Smita Bhat, MD


Since July 1989, Smita Bhat, MD, has been treating patients at RediMed. Dr. Bhat completed her undergraduate work at Garware College in Pune, India. She then earned a medical degree from B.J. Medical College, also in Pune, in 1978. She completed an internship at Wadia Hospital in Pune in 1979, and then completed three residencies. Those include an OB/GYN residency at Sassoon General Hospital in Pune (1979), a pathology residency at Mount. Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Mich. (1986) and a family practice residency at Wayne State University in Detroit (1989). Dr. Bhat is board-certified in OB/GYN family practice, and she is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice.

 

 

 

Stephen L. Cole, MD


An occupational medicine physician who specializes in limb salvage, wound care management, diving physiology and industrial medicine, Stephen L. Cole, MD, graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1978 after earning a bachelor’s in chemistry/biology in 1974. He completed a residency in family practice through the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 1981.

 

Dr. Cole, who is also experienced in hyperbaric medicine, is a clinical professor of family practice at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the American Medical Association, the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine.

 

 

 

Michelle Collins-Austin, MD


A 10-year career as a family practice and urgent care physician prepared Michelle Collins-Austin, MD, for her move to RediMed in 2007. In 1995 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas, Dr. Collins-Austin earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1999. She went on to complete a residency in family medicine at the University of Maryland Department of Family Medicine in Baltimore in 2002.

 

Dr. Collins-Austin is a board-certified family physician and is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Women’s Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.

 

 

 

 

Anthony D. Dennis, MD


After completing a residency in family practice at Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Ind. in 2000, Anthony D. Dennis, MD, went into private practice. He joined RediMed in 2006.

 

Dr. Dennis completed his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois/Chicago in 1993, earning a bachelor’s degree with honors in biology. He completed his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford in 1997.

 

Dr. Dennis, who is board-certified in family medicine, is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians.

 

 

 

Gregory G. Eigner, MD


A native of London (Ontario) Canada, Gregory Eigner MD joined the RediMed team in 2003. Dr. Eigner earned a degree in Systems Design Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 1983 and a medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 1988. He completed his residency at Victoria Hospital and the Victoria Family Medical Center (London, Canada) in 1990.

 

Dr. Eigner practiced as a family physician in London until 1996 and then served as lead physician and medical director for Allina Medical Clinics in the Minneapolis area prior to moving to Fort Wayne in 2002.

 

Dr. Eigner, who is board-certified in family medicine, teaches family medicine residents in the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a fellow of the Canadian College of Family Physicians.

 

 

 

Joel L. Eikenberry, MD


A board-certified family practice and emergency medicine physician, Joel L. Eikenberry, MD, who joined RediMed in 2006, graduated from Manchester College, North Manchester, Ind. in 1968 with a bachelor’s in biology. He then studied electrophysiology at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., before earning a medical degree from the Indiana University Medical School in Indianapolis in 1978. Dr. Eikenberry completed a residency in family practice at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio in 1981.

 

Dr. Eikenberry is a member of the American Association of Family Practice and the American College of Emergency Physicians.

 

 

 

Delynn H. Elzey, MD


Delynn H. Elzey, MD, one of the physicians who founded RediMed, has served as medical director since its inception in 1984. Dr. Elzey earned a bachelor’s in chemistry/biology from Indiana University in 1969. He completed his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1974, and he completed an internship rotation with the Fort Wayne Medical Association in 1975.

 

In addition to the years he spent as an ER physician, Dr. Elzey also spent several years as the plant physician for several area corporations.

 

 

 

J. Carlos Espinosa, MD


A native of Tenerife Canary Islands, Spain, J. Carlos Espinosa, MD, attended high school and college in New York City, graduating from Columbia College in 1958. He returned to Spain for medical school and earned his degree from Facultad de Medicina Universidad de Madrid in 1964. He returned to the U.S. to complete an internship (1965) and a residency in general surgery (1969) at Mount Sinai Hospital in Cleveland.

 

Dr. Espinosa, who joined RediMed in 1993, specializes in general practice, emergency and occupational medicine. He is licensed in the states of Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Michigan, and he is a member of the Medical Society of Fort Wayne and the International College of Surgeons.

 

 

 

Lynn V.V. Faur, MD


Lynn V.V. Faur, MD, a family practice and emergency medicine physician, joined RediMed in 2006. A 1989 graduate of Franklin College, Dr. Faur completed a master’s in parasitology from Tulane University in New Orleans in 1991 and a master’s in physiology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis in 1993.

 

Dr. Faur is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

 

 

 

Thomas E. Lautzenheiser, MD


Thomas E. Lautzenheiser, MD, joined the RediMed team in 1999. Before coming to RediMed in 1999, he was in private practice in Convoy, Ohio, and he served as the Van Wert County coroner and health commissioner.

 

Dr. Lautzenheiser graduated from Wright State University in 1975, and the Ohio State University in 1978, earning a doctorate of medicine. He completed a residency in family practice at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus in 1979 and at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 1981. Dr. Lautzenheiser is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Van Wert County Medical Society and the Ohio State Medical Association.

 

 

 

Charles L. MacLean, MD


A native of Nova Scotia, Canada, Charles L. MacLean, MD, has been a part of the RediMed team since 2000. Dr. MacLean earned a bachelor’s degree from University of Cape Breton, Sydney, Nova Scotia, in 1984, and one from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia in 1986. He earned his medical degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1990 and completed a rotating internship there in 1991.

 

Dr. MacLean was a family practice and emergency room physician in Hubbards, Nova Scotia, and Bluffton and Ossian, Ind., before joining RediMed. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of General Physicians, the Medical Society of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Medical Association and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.

 

 

 

Cherian P. Mathew, MD


Cherian P. Mathew, MD, earned a bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery in 1957 and a medical degree in 1964, both in India. He practiced emergency medicine in India, England and throughout the state of Indiana before joining RediMed in 2006.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Michael O. Mellinger, MD


A native of LaGrange County, Indiana, Michael O. Mellinger, MD, stayed in the Hoosier state to complete his undergraduate and medical degrees at Indiana University (1961) and the Indiana University School of Medicine (1964). He interned, however, at San Bernardino County Hospital in San Bernardino, Calif.

Dr. Mellinger served in a variety of roles at LaGrange County Hospital, including chief of staff, medical director of emergency services and director of quality assurance. He joined RediMed in 2002. 

 

 

 

Jeffrey L. Neuhauser, MD


Board certified in family practice, Jeffrey L. Neuhauser, MD, specialized in sports medicine before joining RediMed in 2001. Dr. Neuhauser graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianpolis in 1979 before earning a medical degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1983. He completed an internship in the Battle Creek Area Medical Education Corporation, Battle Creek, Mich., and a family practice residency at E.W. Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.

 

Dr. Neuhauser served in a variety of roles for several years at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton, Ohio, including chief of the medical staff . He also served as medical director of the Family Planning Clinic in Kenton, and as a family practice physician at Kenton Family Practice.

 

 

 

Larry D. Rowe, MD


Larry D. Rowe, MD, has been a RediMed physician since 1991. He practiced family medicine for seven years prior to joining RediMed/Business Health Services, where his primary focus is occupational and urgent care medicine. After graduating from Ball State University in 1977, he earned a medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in 1981, and he completed postgraduate work at Prince George’s Hospital Medical Center in Cheverly, Md., and St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
 
Dr. Rowe is board certified by the American Board of Urgent Care Medicine and is certified by the National Academy of DOT Medical Examiners and the American Association of Medical Review Officers. He is a member of the American Academy of Urgent Care Medicine, the American Medical Association and the Indiana State Medical Association. 

 

 

 

Roland D. Stuckey, MD


Roland D. Stuckey, MD, spent several years as a farmer after earning an electrical engineering degree from Tri-State University in Angola, Ind. in 1975. He returned to school in 1983 and earned a bachelor’s in biology and natural sciences from Goshen College in 1985. He then earned a medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit in 1989. Dr. Stuckey completed a residency in family practice with the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 1992.

 

Dr. Stuckey, a board-certified family practice physician, is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana Academy of Family Physicians and the Christian Medical and Dental Society.

 

 

 

Roger Paul Thomas, MD


A physician who specializes in physician and electrodiagnostic medicine and rehabilitation, Roger Paul Thomas, MD, came to RediMed in 2006 from Greenfield First Care in Greenfield, Ind., where he practiced family medicine, work injuries, occupational medicine, and physical and electrodiagnostic medicine. 

 

Dr. Thomas earned a medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio, in 1986. He completed an internship at Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown in 1987 and a residency at University Missouri-Columbia Hospital and Clinics Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Columbia, Mo., in 1991. He earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1986.

 

Dr. Thomas is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and he has a specialty board certification from the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

 

 

 

Rose Ann Wenrich, MD


A native of Marion, Ind., Rose Ann Wenrich, MD, didn’t leave the Hoosier state for long to pursue an education. After earning a bachelor’s in biology from Indiana University in Bloomington in 1978, Dr. Wenrich earned a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1982. She completed a residency in family practice at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fla., in 1985.

 

Dr. Wenrich worked in private practice and served in a variety of roles at various hospitals and clinics in Wabash and North Manchester, Ind., before joining the RediMed team in 1999. She is a member of the American Board of Family Practice.
