WHEN TO CHOOSE REDIMED
RediMed urgent care clinics exist to treat those patients with illnesses or injuries that do not require a trip to the emergency room. If you determine your condition does not present a serious health threat, RediMed can offer prompt, appropriate and professional care. All life-threatening illnesses or injuries, however, should be treated in a hospital emergency room. All RediMed clinics have board-certified physicians and offer X-ray, laboratory and prescription services on site with convenient locations and hours. Appointments are not necessary.
Urgent care is defined by the Urgent Care Association of America as “the delivery of ambulatory medical care outside of a hospital emergency department on a walk-in basis without a scheduled appointment.” That’s precisely what RediMed urgent care clinics are all about.
Urgent Care Tips
Use your best judgment when deciding between RediMed and a hospital.
- If you need immediate treatment to save your life, visit the emergency room.
- Use RediMed for problems that require care within several hours, but that are not life threatening.
